A native Oklahoman, Carla Goble is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University. As a child she was interested in sewing, quilting, photography, and drawing. Her artistic training began as a child with instruction from her mother and continued with college courses at the University of Central Oklahoma and Tulsa Community College. She is a freelance visual artist who paints in the impressionist style and creates works in fiber and fabric.
Carla's artistic inspiration and motivation comes from nature and the natural world, animals, children, dreams and the life stories of people she has known. Her studio "Old House Art" is named for her 104 year-old house where she lives paints, and works.
She is a member of the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition and the Oklahoma Arts and Humanities Council.
